
Biography
Appointed Assistant Conductor of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra for the 2022/23 season and winner of the Orchestra’s Prize at the 16th Mitropoulos Conducting Competition, Konstantinos has established himself, excelling across symphonic, operatic, and contemporary repertoire.
Greek-born conductor based in the UK, earned his Bachelor’s degree in orchestral conducting at the Ionian University under Miltos Logiadis, and his Master of Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, studying with Martyn Brabbins, Garry Walker, and Alasdair Mitchell. Awarded a full scholarship, he also received the Hugh S. Roberton Prize for Orchestral Conducting. Alongside his formal studies, he expanded his expertise in ballet conducting under Richard Honner.
Konstantinos was selected as conductor at the Klangspuren Schwaz Festival 2021 with the International Ensemble Modern Academy, assisting Johannes Kalitzke. The following year, he joined the Lucerne Festival Academy as a Conducting Fellow, working closely with Thomas Adès and Jonathan Stockhammer.

He was a semi-finalist in the Siemens Hallé International Conductors Competition in Manchester and he is a finalist in 19th the Donatella Flick Conducting Competition, where he will conduct the London Symphony Orchestra. In 2024, he won the Athens State Symphony Orchestra’s Guest Conducting Audition, leading to upcoming collaborations over the next seasons.
During the 2024/25 season, Konstantinos was regularly engaged in his home country, conducting a range of opera and ballet productions including Rossini’s La Cenerentola, Beethoven’s Fidelio, Delibes’ Coppélia, and Shchedrin’s Carmen, while also returning to the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group to record new works.
He made his debut at the Megaron Concert Hall with the Hellenic Radio Symphony Orchestra alongside pianist Ilya Smukler, and will return to the Megaron at Easter to conduct the Athens State Orchestra in their Easter concert.
Following his operatic debut with the Greek National Opera in Puccini’s La Bohème, Konstantinos returns to open the opera house new season with Spyros Samaras’s Flora Mirabilis and later conducts Bizet’s Carmen.
He has also appeared with both the Athens State Orchestra and the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, with further engagements scheduled for the 2025/26 season. Upcoming projects include a recording with the TETTTIX Ensemble, a debut at the Herodion Theater, conducting the International Opera Awards 2025 and competing at the 19th Donatella Flick competition with the London Symphony Orchestra.
